Abstract

This study aims to thoroughly examine the implementation of management information systems (MIS) through information media such as the school website and Dapodik at SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati, as well as its contribution to improving the quality of education. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the integration of the school website and Dapodik has enhanced administrative efficiency, information transparency, and the quality of communication between the school, teachers, students, and parents. The school website facilitates real-time access to information, while Dapodik supports accurate and structured academic data management. Moreover, the use of MIS aids teachers in planning adaptive and responsive learning processes. Staff training and task redistribution based on monitoring outcomes have also had a positive impact on work motivation and a more productive school environment. The implications of this research suggest that other schools may adopt similar strategies with the support of continuous training and strengthened digital infrastructure. MIS has proven to be a strategic instrument in the transformation of educational management that is modern, collaborative, and data-driven, in line with national policy directions to improve the quality of education in the digital era. Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam penerapan sistem informasi manajemen (SIM) melalui media informasi seperti website sekolah dan Dapodik di SMA Muhammadiyah Mlati, serta kontribusinya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi website dan Dapodik telah meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, transparansi informasi, serta kualitas komunikasi antara sekolah, guru, siswa, dan orang tua. Website sekolah mempermudah akses informasi secara real-time, sedangkan Dapodik mendukung pengelolaan data akademik yang akurat dan terstruktur. Selain itu, pemanfaatan SIM membantu guru dalam perencanaan pembelajaran yang adaptif dan responsif. Pelatihan staf dan redistribusi tugas berdasarkan hasil monitoring juga berdampak positif terhadap motivasi kerja dan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih produktif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sekolah lain dapat mengadopsi strategi serupa dengan dukungan pelatihan berkelanjutan dan penguatan infrastruktur digital. SIM terbukti menjadi instrumen strategis dalam transformasi manajemen pendidikan yang modern, kolaboratif, dan berbasis data, sejalan dengan arah kebijakan nasional dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di era digital.
